Abstract

Interculturaly is a concept that is in the center of discussion. This responds to a series of conflicts that have occurred in recent times, face to the presence of an increasingly diverse society which is present in the day cares and kindergartens in the country. It is clear that this diversity is not new. Chile is a diverse country and has an extense history of migratory movements. The proposal was to know the perception of the intercultural practices of kindergarten teachers who carry out their pedagogical work in the nurseries and kindergartens of the Educational Foundation Young Christ. To discover the concept of interculturality that they handle, the meanings they assign and the values they give to their intercultural practices. The results of the research allow us to understand the perceptions of the preschool teachers regarding their intercultural conceptions and practices in the field of early childhood education, while at the same time to make visible the tensions and challenges the teams face in highly diverse educational communities.
