The formats of the curriculum by disciplines and their limits in the face of educational inclusion

Abstract

This text corresponds to a presentation made at the International Seminar: “Curriculum, disciplinarity and educational experience” of August 22, 2018, in the Department of Education of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Chile; which focuses on the secondary level of education addressing two closely related issues: the extension of compulsory education for the secondary level that took place between the end of the last century and the early 2000s in different countries of the region and; the consideration of a set of tendencies for the elaboration of the curriculum, linked to the school inclusion of marginalized audiences of a historically selective level.
