Abstract

The objective of this document is to contribute to the analysis regarding the direct implication that the family represents in the development processes of children and the way that recognizing these processes enables them to build meaningful environments and experiences that shows an integral attention in early childhood, taking as a reference their contextual needs and interests. In this sense, the approach to the subject begins with a recount of the advances that have been made in family matters in favor of the protection and promotion of the development of boys and girls in Colombia, emphasizing the social policies that have been developed in the country until today. Subsequently, it is exposed how, based on these political structures, these approaches are carried out in educational institutions and a participatory and integral management is established around this issue, in order to enable the materialization of the proposed objectives. In addition, an analysis is generated that allows us to understand the importance of building spaces in which families and the educational community can address child development and thus enhance their co-responsibility in the educational processes of boys and girls.
